Congregation Mickve Israel, in Savannah, Georgia, is the third oldest congregation of Jews in the United States, having begun in 1733. Their synagogue, located on Monterey Square in historic Savannah, was consecrated in 1878, and is the only Gothic-style synagogue in America.
