Confined is the first single from the metalcore band As I Lay Dying's third album Shadows Are Security. There was a video made for the song as well.
[edit] Video
The music video's narrative portrays the lyrics "How quickly I forget that this is meaningless." A teenage boy is shown drawing a massive work of art with chalk on the concrete. He seems to spend the better part of a day simply drawing the piece of art. Suddenly, storm clouds roll in and rain washes away his work in an instant- As if he is Confined to doing it, everyday, and How meaningless it really is. The video is heavily centered on band performance, and the scenes show them playing in heavy rain. Tim Lambesis stated that he likes the fact that the rain really captured the chaotic way in which they move.
