Configurations is an academic journal founded in 1993 and the official publication of the Society for Literature, Science, and Arts. It is the only journal devoted to the study of discourse in science, technology, and medicine. The journal investigates the relationship between literature and the arts and science and technology. The editors are Dr. T. Hugh Crawford of Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr. Alan Rauch of University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and Dr. Laura Dassow Walls of University of South Carolina.
The journal is published three times each year in January, May, and September. It is available via a subscription to Project MUSE. The circulation is 583 and the average length of an issue is 180 pages.
