Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen is a young adult novel by Dyan Sheldon. Originally released in 1999 through Candlewick Books, it was later turned into a Disney motion picture of the same name in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan.

Mary Elizabeth Cep, or Lola, longs to be in the spotlight. But when she moves to New Jersey with her family, Lola discovers that the role of resident drama queen at Dellwood "Deadwood" High as already been filled--by Born-to-Win, Born-to-Run-Everything Carla Santini. Once the curtain goes up on the school play, which drama queen will take center stage?
Once Lola's favorite band (Sidhartha) breaks up, the Lola and Carla war escalates to a new level. When Carla gets VIP passes to the concert and the afterparty, Lola says she and her best friend Ella Gerard are going also. They sneak away to New York, get kicked out of the concert, then find the lead singer drunk and on the side of the road.
A sequel, My Perfect Life, was released in 2002.
