Conference Carolinas, formerly known as the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference (or CVAC), is an intercollegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA’s Division II. Conference Carolinas reached its modern incarnation in 1994. Member institutions are located in the southeastern United States in the States of North Carolina and South Carolina. Former member Longwood University, which left the CVAC in 2004 in order to move up to Division I, is located in Farmville, Virginia.
Conference Carolinas officially changed its name on June 1, 2007. Membership in the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas will move to 12 schools with the full inclusion of previous affiliate member Converse College.

Conference Carolinas sponsors intercollegiate athletic competition in men's and women's swimming, men’s baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s softball, men’s and women’s tennis, and women’s volleyball.
