The Confederation of Ethiopian Trade Unions (CETU) is an alliance of trade unions in Ethiopia. As of December 2007, this group had 203,560 members.[1] The CETU is affiliated with the World Federation of Trade Unions. The CETU has been described as being controlled by the government.[2]

The CETU was founded in January 1977 as the All-Ethiopia Trade Union (AETU). The AETU changed its name in 1986, to the Ethiopian Trade Union (ETU), then again in 1993 to the CETU.
