Coney Island Baby is a 2003 comedy / drama. Film producer Amy Hobby makes her directorial debut in this film. Actor Karl Geary is the screenwriter of the film and Tanya Ryno the main film producer, giving Amy a chance to show her creative side. The film was shot in Sligo, Ireland which is known as Coney Island.

The film was screened at the 2003 Newport International Film Festival. Hobby won the Jury Award for "Best First Time Director".

The film made it's premier television debut on the Sundance Channel.

After spending time in New York, Billy Hayes returns back to town. He wants to get back together with his ex-girlfriend and move back to America in hopes of opening up a gas station. But everything isn't going Billy's way - the town people aren't happy to see him, and his ex-girlfriend is engaged and pregnant. Then, Billy runs into his old friends who are planning a scam.
