Concurrent Mapping and Localization

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Concurrent Mapping and Localization is an area of research on algorithms, data acquisition and data structures for robots which would enable them to build and utilise own maps of the environment they operate in. This requires the robot to be equipped with sensors that provide the information about the surroundings.

CML is another name for Simultaneous Localization And Mapping (SLAM). Refer to the Simultaneous localization and mapping page for more information.
