The marching band, known as the Concord Marching Minutemen, has grown to become one of the strongest marching bands in the state of Indiana. The band has attended the Indiana Marching Band State Finals nearly every year since 1977 and holds ISSMA Class B state championships from 1992, 2003, and 2005 [2] .

The book "American Band" by Kristen Laine was published in the fall of 2007 about the Marching Minutemen's 2004 season [3] .

The marching band was in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2007, among other years. [4] .

Concord's athletic teams compete in the Northern Lakes Conference and in the 4A classification, competing in Sectional 10 in football and Sectional 4 in all other class sports.

A recent resurgence in the basketball program has led to packed crowds in the 3,434 seat McCuen Gym. The student section, known as the McCuen Maniacs, fills an entire lower side of the gym, along with the pep band and junior high section. A new tradition involves players being introduced for the starting lineups while the theme from the classic horror movie Halloween is played. During this introduction, a senior dressed as Michael Myers appears from a random location in the gym, usually the student section.
