Concha Langa

Concepción Langa Nuño was born in Seville, Spain. She is a historian specializing in art history, media history and the Spanish Civil War.

She studied geography and history at the University of Seville (Art History department 1989 and Modern and Contemporary History 1994). She obtained a doctorate "cum laude" from the university with her thesis ABC y la creación del Franquismo: la opinión publicada en la edición sevillana durante la Guerra Civil española (1936-1939) (The newspaper ABC and the creation of Franco-ism: public opinion in texts from Seville during the Spanish Civil War).
Throughout her professional career Concha Langa has divided her time between teaching and research. In 1991 she began as a teacher in the Council on International Educational Exchange teaching about Spanish art. In 1995 she began to teach at the University of Seville, first about the history of journalism, and later on about contemporary history. At the same time she has worked on a research and development project of the Spanish Ministry Of Education: "Gibraltar from fortress to colony" and on the project "Journalism History in Cadiz".
