Concórdia

Concórdia is a city in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina. It was founded by colonizers of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, basically descendants of Italians and Germans, who immigrated to Brazil in the 19th century. Concórdia is polo of microrregion of Alto Uruguai Catarinense, in midwest of Santa Catarina. It is located 480 west of Florianópolis. It has a population of 66.941 (2006/IBGE), and an area of 797 km².
