Conan (former subtitle: The Dark Axe) is an action-adventure/computer role playing game based on the literary character Conan the Barbarian created by Robert E. Howard. It was released for the Xbox, Gamecube, PlayStation 2, and PC in 2004 only in Europe. Another game called Conan was developed by Nihilistic Software for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2007.

Conan is a third-person action-adventure game with the majority of the action being real time hack and slash combat you also have to solve puzzles in the game. You have the ability to learn new combat techniques similar to character development in RPGs you can also acquire new weapons. When you die in the game you can come back to life if you defeat multiple enemies in the afterlife.

The events take place in the mythical era from the original books and comics known as the "Hyborian Age". When Conan sees his home village of Grannach burnt to the ground by the mysterious Vulture cult, he begins his quest for revenge against them.
