[edit] Changing position of Category:Organizations
I propose to move remove this category from the current category since it already resides in Category:Social systems. I am no systems theorician, it just appears to me that organizations lie well within the concept of social systems. __meco 19:39, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Meco, in respons to our talk on the WikiProject Systems talkpage I can say, that this is one of the point where cooperation between WikiProjects can start: with articles and categories of common interest... or here maybe common disinterest.
- Now you argue here that organizations lie well within the concept of social systems... Then why is the category:organizations are also brought into this category. Now this categorization has been made by Jpbowen, and I cannot speak in it's name. I however looked at this double categorization before and agree with it...
- Maybe I should mention that I'm a Systems Engineer and I learned to look at about organizations from a systems approach. We learned that a organization is both a social gathering and a mental construction created and maintained by man and society. That is why I see organizations both as social and mental systems.
- Now the current category:organizations like the WikiProject Organization seems to be fixed on social organizations. The category:organizations itselve seems to be getting out of controle and maybe has to be split up. Removing the link to this category doesn't seem to solve the big problem that catgeory is in. - Mdd 23:37, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
