[edit] Asalouyeh
That's an excellent article, new or otherwise! A good way to get more input on how to improve that article is by putting it up for Peer Review. I'm sure it'll be a Featured Article soon at this rate. karmafist 05:04, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- And from me, good job there and welcome. You'll see I've added a References section to the article page. This isn't a criticism merely a reflection of the fact that with wikipedia getting so much coverage, some of it is about the reliability of information; references are becoming more and more important for people to verify facts. Regards and keep up the good work! SeanMack 12:46, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- If an article is all from one persons experience at some stage the article may fall foul of Wikipedia:No original research. However in my opinion with a few citations and references your article will be fine. I've added a reference in there with some info about Hyundai that shows you the current best practise for entering references. Regards. SeanMack 14:09, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pershing
Take a look at Test and Evaluation of Land-Mobile Missile Systems (PDF) from APL/Johns Hopkins. Page 3 has an excellent diagram showing respective ranges of Pershing 1A, Pershing 2 and Gryphon. As you can see, the P2 range was just short of Moscow. From 1984 to 1989 there were 108 P2 (US Army) and 72 P1A (German Air Force) missiles deployed. I'm not sure of the number of Gryphons. P2 only had a 50 kT warhead and the earth penetrator warhead was never released due to technical issues, thus it was not a strategic missile. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 16:01, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jacqueline Pascarl-Gillespie
Sorry if this is the wrong place to place a comment - please excuse me - I apologise! REgrds,
Just a note, someone called wao lin is continually adding incorrective data to this entry regarding the paternity of Jacqueline Pascarl's youngest child. The daughter is question is the legally recognised daughter of her husband, Bill Crocaris. Verity is not the child of Pascarl's former husband, Iain Gillespie. I have amended this continuous assertion due to the legally provable nature of it's wrongness. I know the family very well and these wrong assertions are terribly distressing to the small child involved as it is coming up in public discussion. Please be responsible and do not base your wikipedia comments on gossip garnered from ill researched magazine and newspaper gossip items. Just because you heard it, doesn't make it true and correct. REal people are involved and small children too!!!
[edit] Golda Meir
Hi ! this is with respect to the triva that you haved added to Golda Meir, that she was the first woman to control a Nuclear Weapons Programme . India tested a Nuclear device in 1974 when Indira Gandhi was prime minister. I was just curious about the source of your info since Israel has never given any information about the start date of its programme or for that matter even on its existance. --Arjun sugumar 05:57, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hey
Hey, despite what was said at the talk page at Mahathir, I don't hold any ill feeling against Australians. I myself have Australians friends. The criticism was only directed at the government. So, I hope we're okay. =) __earth (Talk) 13:39, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Swan Island
Hi Commking. Apologies for my late reply. I've just moved house 700kms and my time has been spent elsewhere of late. Nice article. I'll see what I can help out with. I'm from down that way and have spent some time in and around Swan Island at times. -- Longhair 09:46, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- I've never been onto the island. As your article says, it's a highly classified military area. The closest I've come is canoeing around the bay nearby. A photo of the bridge leading to the island would be great though. It's quite a unique bridge, with an interesting design. Problem is, as from this month, I'm now living miles away. -- Longhair 21:37, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
-
- I've got similiar military friends who act the same way and refuse to talk about the island. Which category name do you prefer? I'll get started on it today and help out with populating it -- Longhair 22:56, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
-
-
- Perhaps we should check with Wikipedia:WikiProject ADF to see what their preference is? -- Longhair 01:12, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Olivers Hill
What photo(s) of Olivers Hill were you after? I walk to the beach there fairly regularly. Although probably the best photo would be taken from a boat... --ozzmosis 11:28, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
OK, I've replaced the photo on the article. It's not perfect but I think it's better than the previous one I had there... --ozzmosis 14:43, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your communication. I have a list of sources and citations re the above article. I will work over the next few days to add these to the page. regards Encise 23:25, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Encise
[edit] Mt Eliza
G-unit, short for "guerrilla unit", is rap slang for something or other (and the record label for 50 Cent) - just a vandal, and probably a current or former student, I'd say. Orderinchaos 01:32, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Pars Online
A tag has been placed on Pars Online, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and put a note on Talk:Pars Online. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks. Mhking 03:53, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Araax
A tag has been placed on Araax, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Captain panda 00:41, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Add notability? Notability is already there - Rain ISP is the only ISP in Zahedan. --Commking 23:01, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use disputed for Image:Parsonline logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Parsonline logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:44, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Aftab
A tag has been placed on Aftab requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] ISPs in Iran
I can see that you have created few articles for ISP's in Iran, most of which have been deleted or will be deleted because of notability issues. I suggest that you create just one article for ISP's in Iran with a "list of Iraninan ISPs". Mahanchian (talk) 10:08, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message. I agree with most of your argument and I appreciate your efforts. But I still do not see any point for creating one page for eash ISP even if they are the only ISP in a particular city or town. To add to my suggestions above, you can expand this list List_of_Internet_service_providers#Iran. Mahanchian (talk) 10:56, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Kish Island
The page is protected due to the edit war, and I've opened a discussion on this at Talk:Kish Island. Thanks for making an effort to at least start the discussion. This was a pretty slow edit war - no talk page comments were made for at least a month. Khoikhoi 08:18, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Basically, the process that should be followed is at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution. Although the users that have been removing the paragraph did not prove any initial explanation, this does not mean that their edits were not made in good faith. What I recommend now that a discussion has started, that everyone try to come to some middle ground. If a compromise can be achieved, the page will be unprotected. It appears that the other user involved has made a comment, so the discussion will most likely continue for the time being. If you and the three users achieve a consensus, then hopefully there will be no more edit wars. Khoikhoi 03:51, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
