Yes, my identical copy of bucket-and-mop =]

Thank you for supporting me in my RfA. Thanks for your vote, I've received an overwhelming 96% support and successfully took a copy of bucket-and-mop from the main office!

School graduation exam and HKCEE are both pressing in, so I might become inactive for a while. But soon after that, I look forward to working with you!

And, thanks for celebrating with me in the fireworks XD --Deryck C. 03:04, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/JForget

Do not unindent the vote by a vandal-only SPA. It has been blocked indefinitely. Try checking their block log before asking obvious questions. – Chacor 07:54, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Crusaders

Hey, thanks for your congratulations, really appreciate it. It's nice to have two FA's now, feels like I'm starting to know what I'm doing. Are you having much success with the Waisale Serevi info? Are there any news articles out there on him? I'm going to start working on the article soon. I think GA is something we should aim for. However it needs to be reasonably comprehensive. Is there any information out there on his background? For example his childhood, his life before rugby, what he did before becoming a professional? Thanks. - Shudda talk 01:48, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for the revert to my userpage! :) – riana_dzasta 17:16, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, thanks from me as well. Jkelly 20:01, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

No harm done, at all :) Will (Speak to Me/Breathe)(Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash) 17:44, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

It took me a bit to work out what that meant... but no, I'm not a sockpuppet of anyone. I am Sir Didymus - www.myspace.com/didymusbrush be me. I have no other username on here. Why are you interested?

[edit] Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee

Hi there! Thank you for creating the Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee article. It needed only a few very minor tweaks. Excellent article - keep up the good work! David Cannon 20:21, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sid Haig's Page

Should you require citation of sources, talk to Glen, the Administrator, or look at the discussion for my username. Glen and I sorted out the copyright issue, and the bio is the one on Sid Haig's official site. What exactly do you need a citation of source for??? Are you disagreeing with biographical information? Please let me know why you felt this had to be done. Spirot 02:29, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Invalid AIV report on GumpDawg69 (no final warning has been issued)

Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thanks. Jesse Viviano 15:36, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RFCN

I usually don't like to edit other people's comments, but since another person listed the name about 30 seconds before you did, I just went ahead and moved your opinion up under the other section. If you object, please go ahead and revert. -Hit bull, win steak(Moo!) 16:43, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] vandalism

I didn't do the vandalism to user: Chacor, it was a guy that had went on my page and screwed around with it. Just look at my edits before today-all good.

[edit] Haig Page

The protection request was not caused by you, but by another user, so don't take it personally.

The biographical information shown here is a modified version of his biography which appears on our website. The site (www.sidhaig.com) is co-administrated by Haig, our webmaster, myself and our web-radio programmer. For documentation of this, see my talk page, as Glen is the very person who helped me get it up here legally (by having our webbie post a license on the bio page), and helped get it to NPOV status. You can see his posts on my TP confirming this. You may also follow the link to our website which is shown at the bottom of the Wiki page to confirm that the information posted is licensed to be here. I understand your concern, but how exactly would one source that he is Armenian? Short of providing a DNA sample to Wiki, how exactly would that be done? Any site could post anything about his ethnic origin, and there would be no way to prove or disprove it. However, if the information is coming from the site which Haig helps run himself, I doubt the info needs further sourcing. Glen was satisfied with it the way it was. I would imagine that's good enough. If you like, though, of course you may confirm this with him. Spirot 03:57, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User talk:Owie123

Why did you revert me? I thinks it's important that there be a record of the fact that he's created a redirected to his user page seven times for when he does it again. John Reaves (talk) 16:58, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Ah, I see. I suppose it's not too important now since he's blanked the page again. John Reaves (talk) 17:07, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the support. John Reaves (talk) 17:18, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Watchlist problems.

Cometstyles, is your watchlist working? I've done edits to pages that are in my watchlist, and it doesn't seem to be updating itself. I have cleared my browser cache, but that doesn't work. Is your watchlist working? Acalamari 17:51, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm glad this isn't my problem. Mine's stuck at an edit to my talk page at 17:26 UTC. Shall I take this to Wikipedia: Village pump (technical). Acalamari 17:57, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Actually, the watchlist is slowly updating. Even so, there is still a problem. Acalamari 17:58, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Mine is working fine now; your edit to my talk page shows up in my watchlist. I wonder what the problem was; probably a delay in the servers. Acalamari 18:12, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] username Alibutt004

While I can see why you might think that this username shouldn't be allowed, it is likely the user's name. Ali is a common Pakistani name, and Butt is a common Pakistani surname/tribal name. Regards, Flyguy649talkcontribs 18:18, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Reply to your reply is here. Regards, Flyguy649talkcontribs 18:29, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Userbox fixing.

Thanks! I've been wondering how to do something like that; it looks good. I'm very glad someone did an edit to my userpage that wasn't vandalism or a revert to eliminate vandalism (as you probably saw, my userpage is semi-protected at the moment). Thanks for the cleaning up of the userboxes. Acalamari 18:58, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] And you call yourself a terrorist?

I didn't block the above username at this time. Can you clarify what you feel is wrong with the name? I'd like to discuss it with the user (particularly since he seems to be making useful edits) before I block the name. Is it that you feel it's too long? Or somehow offensive? Please let me know, so I can talk to him about it. Thanks! Kafziel Talk 14:41, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Editor Review.

Thanks for the editor review; I haven't been officially on it for about a month and a half, so this review was surprising. As for the mainspace edits, I've been trying to get them up since I first put myself on editor review and looked at my edit count. Of course, I've been trying to get my mainspace edits up with decent edits, not with "junk" edits (such as going to a perfectly good article, messing it up, and then tidying it). Finally, my mainspace edits roughly total my talk page edits now. Acalamari 16:29, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA

Thank you for your support in my my recent RfA in which I withdrew because the oppose votes were almost equalling the supporters. I then decided to leave my account (Tellyaddict) and start fresh under a new username, however I quickly decided to reconsider after another user persuaded me not to leave the account - I am now glad I did reconsider because leaving that account and creating a new one was too hasty so I've decided to improve rather than starting again! I hope we can remain civil and that there were no negative feelings caused. Again, thanks for your support even though I withdrew it, your vote is much appreciated! Regards - Tellyaddict (Talk) 19:53, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Intelligentsiya

I have started an article about the intelligentsiya blog which has been attracting some attention re: the coup. Please let me know what you think and edit as you see fit.

[edit] Alexander (film) article; suspicion of vandalism

I did not want to vandalize this article! The article was, for an unknown reason, cut after I save a minor edit to the picture. Maybe it is problem with my browser or something but I repeat I never meant to vandalize the Alexander (film) article... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sheitan (talkcontribs) 17:19, 11 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Signature

Hi Cometstyles, not sure if anyone else has brought this up, you're aware that editors are discouraged from having large-font signatures per WP:SIG? Cheers, Deiz talk 11:47, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Removing the "font-size:larger" component from your raw signature should do it, no? Deiz talk 12:11, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent comment in Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Skully Collins

Are you sure we want to start judging people on how much time they are devoting to Wikipedia? Isn't a seasoned but light user just as qualified as a Wikiholic? —dgiestc 19:10, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Iam not against that but in recent weeks I have found out that its editors that contribute to Wikipedia as a whole and those that take part in Wikipedia discussions are the most successful candidates and pliz I dont judge people because this is the first time I had opposed an Editor with over 3000 Edits just because I thought maybe he needed to do a lot more work on Wikipedia to actually have a chance of succeeding.--Cometstyles 19:21, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
OK, I misread that as you complaining that their edit-per-day number was too low. Obviously total edit count and area of focus are relevant. —dgiestc 20:08, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Nothing personal...

...I don't want to you to feel I'm picking on you, but RFA is supposed to be a serious and impartial effort at deciding whether editors are trusted or not. It can't be very pleasant for people whose RFAs fail, and votes like yours won't make them feel better. Angus McLellan (Talk) 23:26, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

It's been so long since I used dial-up that I've forgotten what it's like. I did use ISDN last year, and that was appalling slow. So this is another reason why editcountitis is bad! It's amazingly easy to get through stuff on ADSL or cable, and somebody on ISDN or dial-up could never keep up. Things like AWB or TWINKLE make it even easier to rack up a massive edit count without actually working very hard. Of course, ADSL doesn't let you think any faster! If anything, it's too quick. Thanks for the note, and all the best. I hope you get a better connection soon! Angus McLellan (Talk) 20:57, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
