I really have no idea how to code templates, so please don't shoot me. I had a need, and I made this one by trial-and-error modification of Template:Commons. According to User:Quadell, image galleries should be moved out of articles and into the Commons, but I felt that the existing Template:Commons would be unclear to a general audience who do not know what the Commons are. Besides, the idea of type-specific templates was endorsed on Template talk:Commons#"media". Please go ahead and fix whatever mistakes you spot. Thanks.--Yannick 05:49, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
