I've added this, admittedly as the guy in charge of the concerned bands internet stuff, because I think Computerman belong here.

The importance or significance is at least equal to other bands listed and uncontested here, and my reasons are:

  • Computerman are signed to Must Destroy Music, the same label that brought the world The Darkness and thus a significant UK Indie label
  • Computerman's first single 'No More Broken Hearts / Watch More Television' charted in the UK Top 250 Singles and in the UK Top 30 Indie Singles Chart
  • Computerman have been on two nationwide tours, one supporting The Fallout Trust of EMI/At Large Recordings, and are off on their third tour in May
  • The video to the single 'No More Broken Hearts' has been played regularly on MTV2, on the massive television screens in braches of Top Shop / Top Man and various other places

Hope thats enough to secure them Wikipedia entry status. Please inform me if you disagree. --Snow brigade 15:50, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi there. Whether a subject should be covered in Wikipedia is determined by a concept called "notability". See the policy here: WP:notability. In short, if the band has been covered by reliable indepenant sources such as reliable (not underground or el cheapo) newspapers or magazines then it is considered "notable", on the grounds that those journalists "took note" of it. It looks like Computerman has been covered by the BBC here, so I'll be suggesting this article is kept in the Computerman deletion discussion. If you can link to any other coverage of the band, that would help too. Ryan Paddy (talk) 01:05, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't disagree.

You're all well fit.
