I think this page should probably be merged in with audio level compression, which already gives a more comprehensive treatment of the subject, and could be appended with a short paragraph mentioning compression as a guitar effect. Sonicforest 23:39, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I completely agree. This article is extremely patchy and unclear, whereas the other is much more complete and accurate.--Electricdruid 16:41, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
