[edit] Failed "good article" nomination
This article failed good article nomination. This is how the article, as of February 12, 2008, compares against the six good article criteria:
- 1. Well written?: This article fails mainly for overuse of jargon and not meeting the criteria in wikipedia:lead. Remember that the lead should introduce the subject and provide a general summary of the article which is accessible to a general audience. Not done
- 2. Factually accurate?: Article is well sourced.
- 3. Broad in coverage?: The article could use more detail on the more important compounds of oxygen. At present it reads like a list of everything which oxygen can form a compound with (which, save the noble gases, is everything!) Not done
- 4. Neutral point of view?: Pass
- 5. Article stability? Pass
- 6. Images?: Good variety, all pass copyright.
When these issues are addressed, the article can be renominated. If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to take it have it reassessed. Thank you for your work so far.— jwandersTalk 03:05, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
