Talk:Comparison of user interface markup languages

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In what sense is the "Development Environment" column meant to be used here? I ask because XAML can be produced with a text editor (just as almost every other language). Visual Studio obviously provides some accelerators and hooks for the dev process, but it certainly isn't necessary. XAML is compiled down into binary XAML (BAML) by either the VS compiler or MSBuild; in that sense, it needs MS products but only for compilation. XAML can also be generated by the new forms part of VS or by Sparkle.--Calebbell 20:27, 17 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] XAML's vector graphics

Can XAML's vector graphic be listed somewhere as a feature? I think so far it's unique among these languages. R8Rooy 14:39, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
