Talk:Comparison of operating systems (security)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

From WP:RfD:

  • Comparison of operating systems (security), Comparison of operating systems security → Comparison of operating systems These have been merged a while ago, the redirects are no longer useful. There are no links to the redirects left, what little pre-merge talk there was has been archived. --K. Sperling 11:44, August 11, 2005 (UTC)

    • Keep, significant history at Comparison of operating systems (security). dbenbenn | talk 00:54, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
    • Weak keep. These are harmless and might get recreated. jni 08:14, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
    • I'd split the difference. The first is the one that follows Wikipedia naming rules, and also has the history (and the Talk: page), so keep that one, and ditch the second one. Noel (talk) 01:33, 9 September 2005 (UTC)

This page needs to be merged with something else. Aklisus 12:34, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Unless you suggest a merging candidate, we can't exactly figure out what you want. Could you be more specific? JFW | T@lk 12:59, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I think it will be very hard to find some other page to merge, because this table is quite unicate and well arranged. Other similar comparison or list of operating systems contains a lot of more items (operating systems) than SecurityFocus or Secunia provide on this topic. In future we can add other systems here, or any other information related to this topic (number or examples of real exploits, viruses or so that take advantage of vulnerabilities). --Ptomes 17:51, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
This page should be merged with Comparison of operating systems and Comparison of Linux distributions, in a separate section in each page. Those OSes for which we don't have information now can simply be left blank. « alerante   » 18:53, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

The page has been merged some time ago. I have just listed this redirect on RFD. This talk has been archived at Talk:Comparison of operating systems/Merged Comp. OS (security) talk. --K. Sperling 11:41, August 11, 2005 (UTC)

Since we're keeping this, no need to archive it. Noel (talk) 01:33, 9 September 2005 (UTC)
