Talk:Comparative mythology
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I was wondering, do anyone here know the best books to buy to get a general overview of comparative mythology and as well as of the current discussions in the field. I've looked around for a number of books, but I'm not sure what the best ones to get are. I'm especially curious about it when it comes to Indo-European mythologies, as well as Semitic(Canaanite, Mesopotamian, and Hebrew especially) mythology, as well as Egyptian. there is too much reference to the study of 'myths' as being scientific. i propose removing all mention of science, unless it can be backed up by some semblance of scienceness.
