Talk:Community service

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I went and made some changes to the Community Service Article. While the author had done an excellent job describing community service as it pertains to the criminal justice system, I felt that there was more to community service than just that. There were other aspects of community service, such as for use, or when it's given voluntarily instead of just when people are sentenced to do so after being convicted of crimes.

I can't really think of how to word it properly, but I think it would be good to incorporate the fact that many high school students feel obligated to complete community service to advance their college resume.

[edit] COMMITING IN THE COMMUNITY

HOW WE ARE GOING TO COMMIT IN OUR COMMUNITY IN THE PROPER WAY?

is there more to community service because i think thats just part of the stroy —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.192.200.227 (talk) 02:06, 1 January 2008 (UTC) i think that community service for schools should be called forced labor. They should report to the 13th amendment. It clearly states " It forbids forms of forced labor, except punishments for crime" student from Kansas —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.66.147.1 (talk) 18:11, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
