I have actually graded this article down from its ambitious rating of top importance. It is at best Mid range importance because the article is relatively important to this project, and fills in some more specific knowledge of certain areas. It does not however do this very well. In particular very little of it is written in an encyclopedic manner and the referencing is poorly constructed. I have adjusted the first reference as a guide but in honesty my adjustment is only to base level - ideally all references should have the following format:
<ref name="WEBSITE NAME">{{cite web | url = XXX.html | title = WEBPAGE NAME | publisher = PUBLISHER NAME | accessdate = YYYY-MM-DD }}</ref>
If those two items, language and referencing can be adjusted please let me know directly and I will provide a reassessement.--VS talk 13:47, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Telephony
Telephony should probably have its own sub article too, so this article becomes a true overview rather than going into too much specific detail. — Донама 11:55, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Internet, etc
Where should the Internet and other digital communications fit? It kind of overlaps with telephony in obvious ways but also with radio in less obvious ways (microwave and radio wave spectrum mgmt). — Донама 11:55, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Capitalisation
Can somebody fix up parts of this article (in particular, those regarding Australia's internet services) which are incorrectly capitalised? I See Many Words That Are Capitalised For No Apparent Reason.
Also, I see a lot of accusations being made against Telstra. While I may agree to an extent, I hardly believe they are objective (NPOV), nor do they belong in an encyclopedia.
Sorry for not making the changes myself. Thankyou to whoever does. 211.30.235.72 09:41, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
