I can't come up with anything on Google, but it certainly seems to me that Commander Steel is derived from the version of Captain America in the late-sixties novel "The Great Gold Steal." This is just a shout out to see if anyone might have real evidence for this. I guess Roy Thomas knows for sure.24.33.28.52 21:57, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
