[edit] Demographic

Does this magazine have a clear demographic? Using shoujo in their description seems to show it's not aimed at an older audience, thus not seinen. While it states "Shoujo comics intended for boys" it also states "Girlish comics for boys and girls" which means the magazine is being aimed at girls as well as boys. I also wonder if by "Shoujo comics intended for boys" they just mean that this will be the first time that shoujo isn't just aimed at girls, but boys as well. It would make a lot more sense, seeing as how the official site itself states it's "for boys and girls," not just "for boys". So I wonder, should we add a new demographic title or just keep it out? The magazine is aimed at men, as mentioned by the publisher of the magazine (Futabasha), also many japanese sites mention the magazine to be a seinen manga magazine (like Amazon Japan and Muhyojo). That "Girlish comics for boys and girls" is no more than a meaningless slogan. --ChuChu (talk) 12:54, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
What would the purpose be of a meaningless slogan though? If they wanted a slogan, why not just stick to "Shoujo Comics Intended for Males" like the site already mentions? AjaaniSherisu (talk) 13:08, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
I guess they wanted to be the first publisher with the slogan of "shoujo manga" for males, and by that they were the first to publish a magazine that has "shoujo manga" that's aimed at males. later on they changed the slogan to "Girlish comics for boys and girls" nevertheless the magazine is still aimed at men. --ChuChu (talk) 13:15, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Hmmm, I wonder if they meant that since it's shoujo manga, they won't have trouble selling it to girls as well. I doubt they would change their slogan to something that isn't factual. AjaaniSherisu (talk) 13:33, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
No idea about that, I know that the magazine can be found in men's floors in japanese bookstores (in those japanese bookstores that have their own men's floor/section). --ChuChu (talk) 13:36, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Can I ask something? Is there some reason why you keep bringing up that it's for men? I just am a bit confused as this is the 3rd time you've brought it up when we weren't even discussing whether or not it was for men. AjaaniSherisu (talk) 13:39, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Is there a problem with that? you asked if they won't have a trouble selling it to girls, and so I answered with the "location" where the magazine is sold in japanese bookstores. --ChuChu (talk) 13:46, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I think I wrote it wrong. What I was thinking is that maybe the "for boys and girls" meant that it will still be popular with girls as well seeing as how it is shoujo manga. AjaaniSherisu (talk) 13:52, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
