I am going to put the link on the main page. There is a html comment there that the lyrics are copyrighted, but surely fair use would allow them to be re-printed? In any case, is it ok to link?
The mp3's on the cantaria site are seemingly ok: http://www.chivalry.com/cantaria/copyright.html
Is there official policy on lyrics?
- If this was written by Dominic Behan who died in 1989 then putting these lyrics up is a copyright violation. About another 50 years or so before they become public domain. Please also see notices put on other articles you have submitted. Thanks --Richhoncho 16:42, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Black and Tans
I thought the black and tans referred to the Auxiliary Devision of the Royal Irish Constabulary. "Colloquially lumped together with black and khaki uniformed RIC as 'black and Tans'" - this is from the book Ireland: A history - by Robert Kee... So are the black and tans the british or the Irish (RIC)? Where did you discover that the black and tans were the british? Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 142.163.130.51 (talk) 23:37, 1 May 2007 (UTC).
