[edit] Wasn't this song an Armenian folk song?

Somewhere I read that this was actually the remake of a popular Armenian(?) children song, and that it had not even an ounce of double entendre in it in its native language (nor in English, Rosemary Clooney always claimed). Any evidence of this? Demf 05:46, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Later connection to The Chipmunks

FWIW ISTR hearing this song briefly in the animated feature about the diamond smugglers. knoodelhed 00:18, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
