[edit] Nickname

Is "Budapestino" a nickname for this model or another one?--Achp ru 09:03, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Combino vs GTN

Is this model actually a technological successor to the GTN series? A GT12N?--Achp ru 09:03, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

You have just about got it, the Combino Supra has three units of two carbody sections each. The articulations between the units are steered passively, but the articulations between the carbody sections in each unit are steered hydraulicly, by the lateral postiotion of the bogies. These articualtions alow only for lateral movement while the other articulations allow for lateral and vertical movements. Thus the bogie only pivot laterally at the start and end or curves, and not by significant amounts.

Infact it is called the NF12B.Myrtone

[edit] Cab controls

Does anyone know what sort of deadman equipment is fitted to the Combino Supra? Is it the same as the Melburnian variant of the original Combino?Myrtone (the strict Australian wikipedian)
