Computas AS

Computas AS is a Norwegian IT consultant and software company that was spun out from the computer department of the Det Norske Veritas in 1985 under the name Computas Expert Systems AS. The company provides solutions and services in the areas of business process management, enterprise application integration, collaboration solutions and consulting for both private and government customers. Typical projects are contract based system development projects in the range of NOK 0.5 to 100 million. Technologies based upon artificial intelligence and expert systems are important platforms for the delivered solutions.
Since 2005 the company has been employee owned through Computas Holding AS (66%), together with the investment company Firmament (34%). They are located in offices at Lysaker, just outside of Oslo, the capital of Norway.
The company is in a phase of strong growth, and currently has more than 150 employees under CEO Trond Eilertsen. 90% of the employees hold Master's or Doctoral degrees in Engineering or Economics. The technical staff of the company are awarded the titles Knowledge Engineer, Senior Knowledge Engineer and Chief Architect.
