Computacenter plc is the parent company of a group of European companies engaged in the supply, implementation, support and management of information technology systems[1]. Despite the spelling of the word "center", it is a UK company based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Its main competitors are SCC and Morse Group.
Founded in 1981 by Philip Hulme and Peter Ogden, Computacenter grew rapidly during the 1980s and is one of Britain's largest IT companies, with 2007 revenues of 2.38 billion pounds and a position in the FTSE techMARK 100 share index.

Computacenter is heavily involved in the IT outsourcing market, and has actively focused on this market over recent years, with signicant successes within their target sectors.[citation needed]

Computacenter's strategy to "ensure long-term earnings growth"[2] is to focus on five goals:
- Accelerated growth of its contractual services business
- Broadened range and depth of its service activities
- Extended presence in growth markets, and in particular with the medium-sized business segment
- Improved efficiency of its operations by deploying shared services facilities across its customer base
- Improved competitiveness by reducing the cost of sale in its product supply business

Computacenter is:
- Founding sponsor of the Computacenter Cathcart Spring Proms, which is a classical "Variety Performance" of diverse works played by musicians, choristers, soloists and groups in the Royal Albert Hall[3].
- Principal business partner and title sponsor of the Professional Rugby Players' Association's ("PRA") Rugby Players' Awards Dinner[4], held at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
- Sponsor of the "Best Use of Technology" category in the British Legal Awards, 2007[5].
- Sponsor of Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service's fire investigation dog, one of seventeen such dogs used in England to support accelerant detection in arson investigations, which is a black Labrador Retriever named "CC"[6].

Computacenter supports and organises charitable fundraising events, such as an employee expedition to Everest base camp[13]. Computacenter donated £50,000 to charity in 2007[14].
