Complex (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Complex was a Japanese band composed of guitarist Tomoyasu Hotei and singer Koji Kikkawa.

They released their self-titled debut in 1988, along with their first single and video, "Be My Baby."

After a tour to promote the album, they released its follow-up, "Romantic 1990," followed by a live album, "19901108." later that same year. It is said that the concert immortalized on the "19901108" CD and video is the last live performance of the band.

They broke up sometime after that, and in an interview Hotei said that the experience of Complex ended his friendship with Kikkawa and that he thought the whole thing was "a mistake."

The band's label Toshiba EMI would release a greatest hits compilation called "Complex Best" in 1998, and DVD re-issues of their video catalog, which are currently out of print.
