Compatible Kaiser
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Compatible Kaiser (コンパチブルカイザー Konpachiburu Kaizā?) is a fictional robot created by Banpresto. Its upgrade is the GCompatible Kaiser (Gコンパチブルカイザー Ji Konpachiburu Kaizā?). It first appeared as a playable unit in The Great Battle IV as Compati Kaiser (コンパチカイザー Konpachi Kaizā?) and was playable in the bonus segment of Super Robot Wars Original Generations and Super Robot Wars Original Generation Gaiden. The G Compatible Kaiser is playable only in Original Generation Gaiden.
[edit] Appearance
The Compatible Kaiser is predominantly red and gold in color. The letters BF (which stands for Battle Force, the name of the Hero team in The Great Battle IV) are inscribed on both its chest and forehead. In its original appearance, it was composed of four smaller vehicles, which combined to make the completed robot. In Original Generations, it is redesigned by Masami Obari, given a more dynamic appearance, akin to the Dynamic General Guardian series of super robots. Its main body is emblazoned in crimson, while highlights of white and blue jewels cover its arms and legs, with gold protusions appearing on its shoulders and feet.
[edit] Technical And Historical
In The Great Battle IV, CompatiKaiser (also known as the Battle Force Robot) was controlled by four pilots: Warrior Roar, Kamen Rider ZO, Ultraman Powered, and the V2 Gundam. It was summoned at the conclusion of several stages of the game, separated into four vehicles, before combining in order to fight a giant robot or monster summoned by the enEmmyes. In its initial appearance, it was armed with vulcan guns, cannons, and a powerful beam attack, as well as being able to utilize a variety of powerful punches. For defensive purposes, it had two types of energy shields. Finally, it was equipped with a scanner, which allowed its pilots to gain information on the capabilities of the enemy they were fighting.
In the Original Generation universe, the Compatible Kaiser is the companion machine to Fighter Roar. Unknown circumstances would force Warrior Roar out from his own dimension, into the Original Generation one. The Kaiser would be damaged upon entry, and Roar would acquire the help of Kouta Azuma, to live in this new dimension. Thus, Kouta takes Roar's place as Fighter Roar. Professor Kisaburo Azuma, Kouta's grandfather and former scientist of the Extra-Over Technological Investigative Institute, would rebuild the damaged machine, using blueprints he obtained from Bian Zoldark of the Dynamic General Guardian series. The Kaiser is stored beneath the Azuma family's flower house, so that whenever Kouta becomes Fighter Roar, he can easily summon it to the battlefield.
The Compatible Kaiser is powered by the Over Gate Engine, and though Professor Kisaburo rebuilt the machine, the engine has not been completely restored, thereby locking the Kaiser's true capabilities. Kouta would frequently call the machine the Compati Kaiser, frustrated at its long name, while Ricarla Borgnine would coin it the Pachinko Kaiser, when the Original Generation cast first see it. In Original Generation Gaiden, the machine is able to combine with Emmy's G Thundergate unit, to form the G Compatible Kaiser.
[edit] Specifications
Height: 56.8 meters
Weight: 148.1 tons
Weapon Systems:
- Over-Beam (オーバー・ビーム)
A fast moving laser beam fired from the crown jewel of the Kaiser's forehead.
- Shoulder Cannon (ショルダー・キャンノン)
Exclusive to the G Compatible Kaiser, it mounts the G Thundergate's cannons above its shoulders and fires two straight beams of energy at the enemy.
- Spiral Knuckle (スパイラルナックル)
The Compatible Kaiser charges one of its arms, and launches the hand in a spinning attack, directed at its enemy. This attack is similar to Great Mazinger's "Drill Pressure Punch". The G Compatible Kaiser's version of this attack claspes both arms together, before launching them at the target. This version closely resembles Dangaioh's similarly-named "Spiral Knuckle" technique.
- Kaiser Boomerang (カイザー・ブーメラン)
The gold mounts on the Compatible Kaiser's shoulders and feet detach to form a cross, which is thrown as a cutting weapon.
- Kaiser Burst (カイザー・バースト)
A burst of blazing light emits from the Compatible Kaiser's chest. The initials "BF" can be seen as the beam is fired before hitting multiple enemy targets.
- Kaiser Tornado (カイザー・トルネード)
The Compatible Kaiser unleashes two Spiral Knuckle attacks from both its hands and a blast of the Kaiser Burst. When its hands reattach to its body, the Compatible Kaiser tackles its target with a series of melee strikes, evenutally sending it airborne. As a finisher, the Compatible Kaiser rushes to the air at full speed, landing a punch at the enemy's torso. The enemy splits into two before exploding as Compatible Kaiser powers down. Despite its name, there is no actual tornado involved in the technique. When the Compatible Kaiser is upgraded to the G Compatible Kaiser, this attack is disabled.
- Fire Dragon (ファイヤー・ドラゴン)
A similar attack used by Fighter Roar, upon powering up, the G Compatible Kaiser summons a pillar of fire, in the shape of a dragon, before sending it to crash and engulf its enemy.
- Over Kaiser Sword (オーヴァー・カイザー・ソード)
An attack specific to the G Compatible Kaiser. With the completion of the Over Gate Engine, the Kaiser's true power is unlocked, and a sword hilt is released from the G Thundergate unit, extending a blade, after the Kaiser catches it. With a shout of "Overboost!", the G Compatible Kaiser charges towards the enemy and delivers a single cut that slices vertically through the enemy's body.
