The Comoros national football team is the national football team of Comoros, which is controlled by the Fédération Comorienne de Football. It was formed in 1979, joined CAF in 2003, and became a FIFA member in 2005.
The first matches with full FIFA recognition were Arab Cup 2009 qualifying matches in Yemen in December 2006, and included a 4-2 victory over Djibouti, which is considered the largest win in the Comorian team's history. In 2007, Comoros first entered qualification for the World Cup and the African Nations Cup for the 2010 tournaments, but lost in the preliminary round 2-10 on aggregate to Madagascar.
