Community Policy Research Group
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Community Policy Research Group (CPRG) was set up in 2007 by the Board of Deputies of British Jews as a UK Jewish Community horizon-scanning think tank [1]
The group brings together professional leadership of the Jewish Leadership Council, Board of Deputies, UJIA and Jewish Care along with a number of academics [2].
[edit] Demographics
The CPRG specialises in community statistics and research on the Jewish community in the UK. They have published research in 2007 that showed that the UK Jewish Community was growing again for the first time in 60 years and another piece of research showing the probability of oversupply of places in non-strictly orthodox Jewish schools [1][2].
[edit] Governance
The CPRG advisory board includes senior professionals from Jewish Care, UJIA and the Jewish Leadership Council, plus two top academics, Professor Kate Loewenthal and Professor Steve Miller.
The Board’s community issues director, currently Alex Goldberg, is in charge of the unit, leading a team of four in-house researchers and a number of associate consultant researchers.
Senior researchers include David Graham and Sarah Abramson.
