Community Colleges of Spokane is a community college district based in Spokane, Washington USA. Founded in 1963, CCS is a dynamic community college district serving some 38,600 students a year, spread across a 12,300-square-mile service district in Eastern Washington. It comprises Spokane Community College, Spokane Falls Community College and the Institute for Extended Learning. Its current Chancellor is Dr. Gary Livingston, and is designed to cater to the need of Eastern Washington. The schools have a combined enrollment of roughly 12,000 students mostly from the Inland Northwest.

Spokane Community College. Being the oldest of the community colleges located in Northeast Spokane, it is nearby to Gonzaga University (which is just two miles west of the SCC campus). The college's curriculum consists of Liberal Arts as well as a large base of Job Training and Technical skills work. Spokane Community College, or SCC, is a comprehensive educational institution meeting the needs of students and business and industry throughout the region. SCC provides transfer degrees and the opportunity to continue education by transferring those degrees to a four-year institution. The college also has over sixty career and technical degree and certificate programs to prepare students for the world of work. New programs starting in the fall of 2007 include a Center for Entrepreneurship, Vascular Technology, and Massage Therapy.

Spokane Falls Community College. The college, commonly abbreviated as "SFCC" or "The Falls," was opened in 1967 and lies in west Spokane, adjacent to Riverside State Park. The 113-acre college features the 4,000 seat Spokane Falls Stadium, Sasquatch Baseball Field. As the liberal arts campus for the CCS, SFCC offers programs for students seeking an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree, with 69% of SFCC students transferring later to four-year institutions. The campus is also in a close working relationship with the Mukogawa Institute, a higher education facility adjacent to the campus for students from Japan studying in the U.S.

Institute for Extended Learning. The IEL is group of Branch Satellite campuses around Spokane and Eastern Washington with over 37 facilities available. Most of the curriculum consists of Basic Education, Job Training and College transfer courses. The IEL, as one of the three institutions of the Community Colleges of Spokane District, is committed to helping students reach their education goals, whether they are interested in earning a degree or certificate, learning a new skill or enhancing current one, or simply taking a class for pure pleasure. In collaboration with Spokane Community College and Spokane Falls Community College, the IEL provides a wide array of educational opportunities to the people residing in our 12,300-mile, six-county district which includes Ferry, Lincoln, Spokane, Stevens, Pend Oreille, and Whitman Counties. The Institute for Extended Learning uses time tested and innovative educational delivery systems to give students, both urban and rural, access to learning opportunities they otherwise might not have.

Both SCC and SFCC combine their sports programs together and compete as The Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch (also referred to as the Bigfoot). They compete in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges East Region.
