The Communauté métropolitaine de Québec or Quebec Metropolitan Community (CMQ) is a geopolitical region encompassing numerous cities, towns and villages in the Quebec City economic area.
[edit] History
The CMQ was created on January 1, 2002 (the creation date of the enlarged cities of Lévis and Quebec City).
[edit] Constituent municipalities
The Indian reserve of Wendake and the parish municipality of Notre-Dame-des-Anges, though enclaves of Quebec City, belong neither to the Urban agglomeration of Quebec nor to the CMQ.
