The common shovelnose ray or giant shovelnose ray (Rhinobatos typus) is a species of fish in the Rhinobatidae family. It is found in Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are open seas, shallow seas, and estuarine waters.
