Commencement released May 14th, 2002 from the rock band, Deadsy. This is the official release of the album, distributed through Dreamworks Records under the Elementree sub-label. The album contains two cover songs: "Brand New Love" written by Lou Barlow of the band Sebadoh and "Tom Sawyer" written by Rush. The album also contains guest appearances by Jonathan Davis of KoЯn fame, Jay Gordon (Orgy), Troy Van Leeuwen (Failure, A Perfect Circle, Queens of the Stone Age), and John Taylor (Duran Duran). The album failed to generate the projected sales goals and in no time Elementree folded. As of May 1, 2008 Commencement has sold 175,000 copies.
