Coming On Strong is the debut album by British indie electronic band Hot Chip. It was released in 2004 in the UK and late 2005 in the US and Canada. It is considerably more sparse and laid-back, maintaining a stronger R&B and Soul influence than its much more popular follow-up The Warning. Pitchfork described the album as "a successful but safe entrée to the British electro-soul outfit" and said that the album had "kitschy yet deeply affecting lyrics."[1] AMG described the sound of the album as "quirky electro-pop".[2]
