Cominella olsoni is a species of predatory sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Buccinidae, the true whelks.

This species is endemic to New Zealand, northeast of the Banks Peninsula.

This species lives at depths of between 75 and 110 m.
[edit] Shell description
The shell is moderately large, similar to Cominella nassoides in its colour pattern of white nodules on a reddish-brown ground, but with a different style of suture that is deeply channelled, which imparts a turreted outline to the spire. The shell sculpture is of strong axial folds crossed by wavy microscopic grooves.
The shell height is up to 55 mm, and width up to 28 mm.
