Comfy Ltd.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Comfy Ltd (abbreviation of comfortable) is a manufacturer of interactive educational toys for toddlers based in Tel Aviv, Israel and Toronto, Canada. The Comfy products include a learning system called the Easy PC which consists of a keyboard and a range of software titles.

Comfy was founded in 1992 by Itai Kohavi, when he was 23 years old, and developed with his team a computer hardware product especially for kids. His main goal was to create a new device that would give kids a fun and easy way to make their first visit into the world of computers.

In the year 2000 Comfy participated in the prestigious Europrix contest and won the category of “First Step and Bridging Society with Multimedia”.

Its initiate on the international market was poor due to the low acceptance of the PC as an Entertainment/Educational device for kids and especially toddlers.

Comfy Ltd. acquired the Comfy brand and intellectual property in 2003. After further development Comfy re-launched in February 2005 its multilingual product line internationally. Today Comfy continues to focus on the development of interactive electronic learning toys for children.
