Comes A-Long A-Love
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Comes A-Long A-Love" was an early hit song for American singer Kay Starr. The song was released in 1952 and was written by former Tin Pan Alley songwriter Al Sherman. This was the last hit song Sherman would write, handing the reins of pop songdom over to his sons, Bob and Dick Sherman who were just beginning their songwriting careers in 1952. On September 27, 1952 "Comes A-Long A-Love" reached #9 on the singles chart. The song has appeared in the soundtracks of several motion pictures including the 2006 release of Confetti.
