"Come & Go" was announced to be the seventh single from 50 Cent's third album, Curtis, but was later indefinentely postponed from release. The song features Dr. Dre.[1]
[edit] Background
The song is produced by Dr.Dre with keyboards by Dawaun Parker and Mark Batson. 50 Cent described the track as "In Da Club Part II".[1] It contains replayed elements from "Just Be Good to Me" performed by The SOS Band and written by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Dr. Dre is featured in the track and contributes with minor vocals in the chorus.[2]
The single has no release date as of yet. Accordingly, 50 had many people record verses or versions of the chorus, so he could pick who he wanted to feature. It's been said Dr. Dre, Young Jeezy, Lloyd Banks, Akon, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Busta Rhymes, Freeway, Young Buck, Cashis and Eminem have all recorded material for the track. Eventually, Curtis took Dre's version, but with his verse cut out. There's rumoured to be a remix featuring all of those listed artists, along with others including Beanie Sigel, Fabolous.
