Combe C of E primary school is run by Barbara Jones and has achieved great results under her leadership. In 2006 all pupils taking SATS got level 5's!

The local pub is the Cock Inn, situated next to the village green, where Combe school children Maypole dance in the Spring [May], a Summer Ball takes place in the Summer, a Fun Fair in the Autumn and a firework display in the Winter [November].

The village has a Post Office which opens on a part-time basis, two or three times per week.

The Cricket and Football teams are an integral part of life in combe, with many from the village turning out at the weekend to play. The youth have lots to do with Chris Drinkwater setting up youth teams about a decade ago and continuing to support them along with a willing body of helpers.

The village is picturesque with an intriguing neighbourhood.

David Cameron is currently District MP.
