Combate Extremo is an Mexican mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion.
Founded in June of 2000 by Hector Molina and Michael Shoffner, Vale Tudo Mexico, sanctioning body of Combate Extremo, was the first professional mixed martial arts promotion in Mexico. In its inaugural event, Larry "The Predator" Parker defeated Shannon "The Cannon" Ritch in the final match of an 8-man elimination tournament to be crowned the first "Copa Mexico" champion. The attendance of 6,291 spectators remains the largest recorded gate for a professional mixed martial arts event in Mexico.
Vale Tudo Mexico changed their commercial brand name to "Combate Extremo" in August of 2003 and has since promoted over 13 events at both amateur and professional levels.
