  • If this nomination fails here, try listing it on the Indian Collaboration: WP:INCOTW--Fenice 07:08, 16 July 2005 (UTC)
  • I've never heard of a Deccan language till today and a google search does not reveal too much info. User:Nichalp/sg 07:08, July 16, 2005 (UTC)
  • Desi language has more hits, maybe that is the more common term. According to this Wikipedia-article List of languages by total speakers there are ten million speakers of deccan in India. Other names seem to be desi or dekini.--Fenice 07:23, 16 July 2005 (UTC)
  • Honestly speaking, I've never heard of this language in India, and what astonishes me are its large numbers. I'm guessing that it is a term used for all the languages in the Deccan. "desi" means country or country language (village language). User:Nichalp/sg 08:33, July 16, 2005 (UTC)
  • I did a Google-search using the number of speakers given in our table. This did turn up results: it must be an urdu dialect distinctive to the Deccan plateau. [1] [2] [3] [4]
and a video file is on here: [5]
There is not enough information to research this article from the internet though. --Fenice 09:56, 16 July 2005 (UTC)
