[edit] Mud (4 votes, stays until July 8, 2006)

Nominated June 14, 2006; needs at least 6 votes by July 8, 2006

Given how much of it there is around, we ought to be able to write a better article, I think.

[edit] Legal history (3 votes, stays until July 11, 2006)

Nominated June 26, 2006; needs at least 6 votes by July 11, 2006

Could be a good summary article which I was surprised to find doesn't exist. We already have: History of patent law, History of international law, History of copyright law, History of Canadian nationality law, History of British nationality law, History of abortion law, etc. This article could be the main article for Category:History of law, and provide a good introduction and global perspective to these topics. I would prefer the title History of law for parallelism but more importantly, we need to get to work on this topic. savidan(talk) (e@) 16:40, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Waterfowl (3 votes, stays until July 14, 2006)

Nominated June 28, 2006; needs at least 6 votes by July 14, 2006

the various waterfowl (eg ducks and geese), are some of the most common and most important birds in the world. Yet, this is a downright terrible stub. There is maybe a paragraph of actual content. The rest of this "article" is a section entitled "places to see waterfowl." This section is completely unnecessary, as waterfowl are almost everywhere, not to mention wholly unencyclopedic. This article needs some good old fashioned TLC.

  • This is a new stub I just created. I put in some references to work on; will be doing some work myself in the coming days. A good article would need a sailing enthusiast since there is lots of stuff me, as most editors, do not understand. This is a great yacht, which has just sailed on its maiden voyage last week. It is extremely interesting given its high technology and the fact that it can reach decent speeds with the lightest of breezes. The original design was made during an oil crisis, and well... you all know.  VodkaJazz / talk  12:34, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

  • I think the reason why the article on Québécois is still a stub is that a lot of Anglophones don't kow much about Québécois culture. --chemica 16:56, 8 July 2006 (UTC

  • One of the most significant plays of the 20th century. Rather stubby. Jaranda wat's sup 22:51, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
  • A Raisin in the Sun is not only a classic 20th century play, but also the first play written by a black woman to appear on Broadway. I think we should definitely expand on such a landmark piece of literature. --Nishkid64 19:30, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

  • The article acknowledges that it is a "broad topic", and yet I can't name a single article shorter than this that wasn't tagged for speedy deletion. It's already on Requests for Expansion without any improvement. C. M. Harris 22:35, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
