Edit review
Thanks for having requested an editor review. A month has passed since it has been posted there, and it has been archived. Thanks
Thanks for your message. I have been on Wikipedia before, it's just been a while and I forgot all my information hence the new account. I've been meaning to add to this page for a while to add content and I never got around to it. Believe me, the last thing I want to do is to start a war with people wanting to revert pages! I thought this page needed more content and so I took some time to do it.
Thanks for your understanding. I really tried to play it down the line as much as possible given polarizing political figures at play!

Editing
Hello! I've edited the article on Young American Primitive, adding new material from a reliable resource. You have deleted it, I beleve for a good reason. What should I do to actually add the info? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.247.219.66 (talk) 07:55, 22 December 2006 (UTC).
robot
The forum for building robots is a forum I frequent. You claim there are popups on that site. That are none.
The site is not selling anything and is of benefit to the subject and has been on this page for several months without complaint. Please do not remove my submission again.

You need to run a spyware checker if you are getting popups.

Warcraft 2 Utilty removal
So why does WarMaker which I added get removed from the utility section? Spam? hardly.
PudMaster and War2xed get to be in Wikipedia but no other utiltiy can be mentioned? There were many decent utilities that did things that these did not, and Warmker was one of them.
All those other links on the page are crap too. Moby Games? A german fansite? Who cares? What kind of crap links are those? Certainly not part of the history as some of the utilities are.
What's the point of having a Wiki and having legit contributions if you delete them?
PudMaster and War2xed were not the only utilities that made editing popular. Try: WarMaker, Puddle, PudZilla, PudPaste, CraftGen, Pud Browser and many others...
If you want to have a more complete article you need to wake up and smell the coffee.
WarMaker is actually still available for download. Its a free utility created for the gamers. You should add all the utilities and make the article complete. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.173.56.171 (talk) 23:37, 22 December 2006 (UTC).
Editor from Richard Kyanka
If saying that the guy in that video being soundly beaten was soundly beaten is controversial then I suggest that reality is controversial to the editors of wikipedia.
Another alternative explanation is that, like the rest of wikipedia, factual criticism of someone an editor likes 'fails to meet the site's standards' while hard hitting reporting on the number of dogs they have and their favorite flavor of ice cream is a-ok and totally groovy and the very epitome of this site's terrifically high standards.
What a complete joke. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.136.107.24 (talk • contribs) 01:08, 23 December 2006
Marshmallow
Hey, I saw the comment you left on the anonymous vandal's talkpage and thought I'd let you know the background of what's going on, since it looks like you might have gotten involved in this a little later than I did. It started when this vandal (using a different IP) removed the section on the "Chubby Bunny" game, presumably as a good faith edit. This was reverted on the grounds that such a large deletion should be discussed first, but the vandal got upset and started trying to make a point by saying that if we all wanted to keep that section so badly (which no one's even said, we just think it should be discussed first) then the idea that marshmallows are deadly should be reiterated as strongly as possible. I know, it's unbelievably immature... But seeing as it's been happening under at least 3 IPs now, you wouldn't know the whole story just from looking at the edits done by the most recent one. Glad to have you here trying to keep things sane! --Icarus (Hi!) 01:24, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Marshmallow genocide
Really? I've tried to point it out to your friends, I've tried to point it out that we have no Death by Pizza, Death by Hot Dog sections (I bet more than TWO (like in this case) people choked on them). But I was instantly reverted multiple times and greated with vandal tags, so I guess it is Wiki consensus that marshmallows are people killing spawns of Satan (or maybe even Hitler), and decided to play along. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.118.1.55 (talk • contribs) 01:28, 23 December 2006

...is related to Major League Gaming
Just be aware: Regardless of how sensible, an over-large amount of similar nominations can often cause knee-jerk backlash. I like to put lists like this into groups of two or three and spread them out over a week or two. But we'll see. - brenneman 23:02, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
E-gamers - what category is being used?
I'm not trying to PO people here, and this is a serious question from a non-sports person (the only sports I do are downhill skiing and figure skating (and a bit of college hockey years ago))... What criteria is being used for these people? My reading of the WP:BIO is along these lines...
From Wikipedia:Notability (people) Where do e-gamers fall into the standard categories? They are not:
- Political figures
- local political figures
- entertainment or opinion makers
- actors or TV Personalities
- Published authors, editors and photographers
- Painters, sculptors, architects, engineers, and other professionals
- Persons achieving renown or notoriety for their involvement in newsworthy events, such as by being assassinated
Can they be considered under the following:?
- Sportspeople/athletes/competitors who have played in a fully professional league, or a competition of equivalent standing in a non-league sport such as swimming, or at the highest level in mainly amateur sports or other competitive activities that are themselves considered notable, including college sports in the United States.
They aren't sportspeople or athletes - but they may be competitors; is this the category where their notability is being justified? I didn't think that this was the intent of this category; I read this as those that are actually physically competing. If e-athletes are to be judged under this criteria, I would urge a notation being made as such to prevent further confusion on the issue.
-
- Why wouldn't they be considered sportspeople in the same sense that Skeet shooting is considered an Olympic sport? Tarinth 17:52, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
As I couldn't put them in any of the above categories, I fell back to the basic:
- "The person made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in their specific field. - All of these criteria are in fact simply special cases of the general primary criterion of multiple non-trivial published works from independent sources. A person who is "part of the enduring historical record" will have been written about, in depth, independently in multiple history books on that field, by historians.
There may be articles written about these people, to whom I have no animosity, but can it be said that they are making a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in their specific field?
I do agree that several of the persons on the AFD list do have independent notability, and have noted so on their pages. However when looking at the field, I still say that these don't qualify as I don't see how they are part of the enduring historical record... (article - began playing):
-
- Chris Smith (electronic sports player) - May 2005
- Scott Lussier - July 2005
- Eric Hewitt - April 2006
- Ben Jackson (electronic sports player) - May 2005
- Dave Walsh - March 2004
- Brandon Jenkins - April 2006
- Carlos Morales (electronic sports player) - April 2006
- Michael Cavanaugh - April 2006
- Victor de Leon III - "Victor has won no tournaments and has no notable placements in professional events."
- Ryan Danford - May 2004
- Zyos -"Leto quit gaming professionally after his former team, Xit Woundz, failed to place top 4 during the second event of the 2006 season."
- TuLegit - ?
Again, I'm not trying to PO people here, would just like to see a clarification made for future disucssion on where exactly these people fit into the WP:BIO scheme!
Thanks for your patience with a non-gamer. :) SkierRMH 06:06, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Regarding your question
Hi... In answer to your question about a warning to another editor about a personal attack, in the note you will see that I specifically mentioned an article that is redlinked. This is an attack page created by the editor which was speedily deleted. Since it has been deleted, it will not show up on the user's contributions. When you click on the redlink, you will not find an article (however, administrators can see the history and verify that the editor did create the article). I hope this answers your question. — ERcheck (talk) 00:24, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
Your false accusation cos you couldnt be bothered to check the facts
If instead of getting on your high horse and making false accusations and harrassing me you had actually bothered to look at what happened you would have seen this. Yours in utter disgust that I should have to pay the price for your laziness cos you couldn't be bothered to check the facts but instead made an incredibly stupid and false accusation which I then had to research and discover the truth about,(dont do it again), SqueakBox 07:54, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

- Other than the sweltering muggy heat here I am quite cool. An apology would have been more in order, methinks. I was expressing an opinion about your not checking the diffs. While I appreciate that it is cold where you are I would ask you to chill out yourself and please dont get your facs muddled when talking to other people, who do get affected by your frankly bizarre (as I first percieved it) and incorrect accusations. Me, I always double-check before making such an accusation to make sure I get my facts right and I hope in the future you will do the same. FWIW I agreed with the revert of your comments but given I didnt make that revert your latest message strikes me as trollish. Have a nice Christmas, SqueakBox 10:16, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
You are obviously not a new user and thanks for the apology. Brandt is somewhat of a controversial issue and as I am on his hive mind page I am very pissed off about that, SqueakBox 10:23, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
E-sports
Okay, out of everybody in the world, you white folks that have to develop your own weird sports that are now considered notable like skeet shooting, why in the world would you attack video gaming? It obviously has a promising future. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arrashju (talk • contribs) 2:13, 29 December 2006
NPOV warning
While I am in support of evolution, I do find that this article is difficult to put into the light of a neutral point of view. :: Colin Keigher (Talk) 03:19, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- I would dispute this. The topic is that support exists. Whether that support is justified or not is another issue. I have copious references from both sides and it is a bit hard to deny that support exists in the scientific, religious and other communities. How is that being biased to summarize the support that exists?--Filll 03:25, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

I am attempting to update accuracy of our convention wike. I help with it's daily operations. I don't understand why wiki keep rejecting my changes. I'm trying to be open about all this, but at the same time I don't understand how 6 month old discussion is relevant to our current situation. Especially when it is completely incorrect! I feel you moderators are being overly controlling of the situation.
Just points to me that wiki is a detrimental organization that wishes to spread disinformation by not allow me to update with accurate information. By editing my organization official posts, you prove my point.
Now I suppose you wish to augment your power. Whatever you are just being immature children. Thanks for being so disruptive! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tjstriker (talk • contribs) 07:31, 5 January 2007

User talk pages
Thanks for responding. To me, it seems problematic that users may delete notices, particularly IP users, such as this [1]. But now I am concerned that I have done some things wrong in this regard. I realize that I may have been in error in protecting that page temporarily from further blanking. Do you think that I should I go back and fix that now? Thanks for your patience, I am still in my first year as an admin, so the learning curve remains. Best,--Kukini 00:03, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks again...it will be interesting to see what people think about this. I didn't realize that we differed as much as we do on it. --Kukini 00:16, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
A poem about putin-chan
Hi Colin, You just deleted the reference to a poem from Vladimir Putin article. Actually, this is poisonous satire (unfortunately in Russian). I enjoyed a lot reading it. Did you delete it because you read it and disagree with the content? If you did not read it, I think you should not delete it. Biophys 01:46, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. Let's ask other people at the talk page. If they think it is inappropriate, then we can remove it. That could probably qualify as Putin-related humor (I found it very funny). Biophys 04:02, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

WP:NOT
As you reverted my edit to Vladimir Putin because Wikipedia is not a collection of lists, don't you consider deleting the List of George W. Bush legislation and programs as well? Legislation proposed by a president is very important to characterize his policy. I really don't understand your point about WP:NOT. Does it mean that all the lists have to be removed from Wikipedia? Thank you very much
I appreciate that you have joined the Pro Gaming Wikiproject and I know you will be a big help. I understand your attemped AfD's, the pages weren't up to quality standards and they didn't assert notability, so you wouldn't have known that most of them are notable. There's a reason I didn't alert Arrashju to the existence of the WikiProject, and that's because he can't seem to write a balanced, spam/cruft free article, especially on anything MLG related. By the way, can I get your opinion on something? I rewrote Dan and Tom Ryan's articles because I thought the original articles were awful. My version looked like this. Then he rewrote it again. Some of his additions were useful, like adding the awards, but he readded the MLG Pro quotes (which aren't needed and are definitely not 3rd party reliable sources), and his version is here: Dan Ryan. I'm trying not to act like I own the article, but I feel like the advertisiment-like crap needs to go and stay gone. Which version do you thing matches what you would expect the article to be? Again, thank you for your help with the project. J0lt C0la 22:56, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
