[edit] sister cities on Saint_Petersburg
I commented the sister cities list because it's been 9 months without sources. Since you appear to be from that city, can you give me some link at, for example, the municipality website, where I can look up a list of which cities are really sistered and which are not? --Enric Naval (talk) 16:58, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- I have no idea. IMHO the issue is too insignificant to be discussed in the article at all. Nobody seems to care except some devoted Wikipedians. Colchicum (talk) 13:07, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- I made a proposal to merge on a different article on Talk:Saint_Petersburg#merge_of_list_of_sister_cities_of_saint_petersburg. Please comment if you think it's ok. --Enric Naval (talk) 14:32, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] St. Petersburg area/pop
OK, I started fixing this, but ran into a snag with assigning area/population ratios. Do you know which parts of the federal subject are not considered to be the parts of the city proper? The 2002 Census, for example, gives the population distributions by St. Petersburg's districts, but the 4.6 million total figure is for the whole federal subject, while "city proper" is completely undefined. Where does the 606 km² area number come from? Thanks.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 16:47, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Nice to see you
Hi Colchicum! I am so glad to see you around. I had some trouble trying to make an article about Politkovskaya assassination more informative and neutral. Would you like to look at this or other articles and help a little? Of course you might prefer doing something harmless about lakes and rivers. If you do, please never mind. Last time I did get you involved in trouble. A lot of good people stopped editing here including Turgidson. I tried to edit something closer to biology, but that seemed rather boring to me...Biophys (talk) 03:30, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] NVC communities
Hi. Thanks for your message. I'm willing to consider your request, if you can give me some good arguments why I should do that. All the best. SP-KP (talk) 10:03, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. I'm using the standard UK English names (we're lucky in Britain with our plants in that there is a single widely-used source for names - unlike the case with birds). Rather than linking the scientific names, I'll adopt a different solution - creating articles (or redirects) for any plants I refer to. SP-KP (talk) 10:38, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] St. vs Saint
Thank you for pointing out the flag image link, I use AWB and was quite careful not to change images and book titles, etc, but missed that one. It has now been corrected. Cheers, --Россавиа Диалог 12:57, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Moldova
Thanks for your contrib, but I suggest to wait until Bonny is blocked before continuing. He actually made a few good edits in there, so someone will have to do a thorough sieving instead of a full revert. Good edits on top of his "work" will complicate this process more. --Illythr (talk) 18:58, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Netherlands nature section
Hi, I saw your recent addition to the nature section of the Netherlands. I think you know what you are talking about, but to be honest, I have no idea what it is. Could you please try to rephrase your addition in a way that it makes sense to a reader without knowledge of all the jargon and terminology- ie the target public of Wikipedia (I truly have no idea where to start). Thanks Arnoutf (talk) 19:26, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ref?
Thank you for this edit. Could you add the reference for it? Which book/website was the information taken from? Thanks a bunch, Renata (talk) 21:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Classetousrisques.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Classetousrisques.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 11:28, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edit to the Kosovo article
Hello. I'd urge you not to remove the term "Ethnic Cleansing." If need be qualify it with alleged or reported or something of the like. Other than that, that wasn't a bad edit overall. Oh and put back the word "intimidation" as well. Thanks. This will help to quell any possible problems with your edit. Beam 16:45, 10 June 2008 (UTC) Shoot, I almost forgot. It would be so freaking awesome if you could throw some sources up in there too. Thanks. Oh and if you want to further discuss your edits, please contact me on my talk page. Contact me on my talk page after addressing those two phrases too, I'd appreciate it. Beam 16:46, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
